Those of a certain age, who have visited Aztalan in the past may recall that the Wisconsin DNR built a reconstruction of an Aztalan house. This reconstructed house was located near the riverbank just to the northeast of the 'gravel knoll'.
The house did not last more than a year or so. It was vandalized, and soon removed by the DNR. No traces of the dwelling remain today.
